After seeing the celebration after yesterday's election, I couldn't help thinking of the scene from the sixth (third?) Star Wars movie. In the name of security, the people turn over their freedom to an emporer. Do they realize what they've done?
Do we Americans realize what we've done?
How can anyone say that they don't know Obama? After all, he really hasn't tried to hide who he is:
- Silencing TV stations and reporters who dare ask the wrong questions
- Promising to bankrupt the coal industry (What do you think that will do to your electric bill?)
- Taxing working Americans to "spread the wealth"
- Expanding the power of the courts beyond what the Constitution gives them and our founding fathers intended
- Silencing the voice of the loyal opposition in the name of "fairness"
This doesn't look like what the leader of a free people does.
